Tomorrow

I write. I am a believer in letting what you feel find substance and reality. I will share some of my writings with you and hope that you enjoy them as much as I love writing them. I am published. I love words. I love communications.

TOMORROW
Tomorrow when the day
Starts afresh with a pale choking
Dawn,
And I have breathed my last sweet
Scent of blessed air,
Will you even know I’m gone?
Tomorrow when too many hurts
Squeeze my chest and keep the blood
From flowing,
Will you wonder what path I
Walk, what shade of black I wear,
Or could you stand knowing,
That despair is a skin I wear
With each sunset the colors
Lose their essence.
That the smile I reflect is not
My reality,
That despondency is a constant
Presence;
Could you live the pain in my
Tomorrow even when sugar-coated
With meaningless reflections;
That we are all pale
Symbols caught in repetition
Of hell’s perfection.
When tomorrow closes the door
On beauty’s reign
Can you build and see the
Promise of tomorrow when
Surrounded by the pandemonium
Of intense pain?
